It is recommended for those who are on a oral inhaled corticosteroid to use a spacer and rinse their mouth with water to reduce the risk of oral thrush. Oral thrush is fungal infection in the mouth resulting in white lesions in the mouth. Check with your doctor or pharmacist to see if your inhalers contain corticosteroids and if your are at risk for oral thrush.
