How to use Comm100 Live Chat on Google Sites?

Comm100 Live Chat can be used on Google Sites.


Step by Step Instructions:

 

Step 1. Log into your Google sites account and go to the homepage;

Step 2. Click edit button (the button with a pencil icon on it) to enter the edit mode;​


 

 

Step 3. Click HTML to bring up the HTML editing box; 


 

 

Step 4. Copy the code from your Comm100 account and paste it on top of the code area.  ​

Note: Only HTML code without JavaScript is supported because Google Sites does not allow JavaScript. If the below window pops up, you might have copied the JavaScript code which is not supported by​ Google site. Please copy non-JS code instead. For how to get the code without JavaScript, please click here. 




      Step 5. Click Update to save the edit. You can also use Preview to preview the effect.

 

Note: If you see a message notifying you that the HTML code will be modified, please click OK to finish pasting the live chat code.

 

Now, Comm100 Live Chat is successfully embedded into your Google Sites. Visitors can chat with you in real time by clicking on the chat button.

[Not Helpful]   Have you checked lately whether this will still work?  Google Sites editing buttons have changed, and  trying to insert given code now receives message "WARNING: Your HTML contains some tags that are not permitted. These have been removed from your changes."
