How to setup S1 MIDI Wifi Server

1. Open Browser and input 's1 midi trigger' on search box.

2. Open S1 MIDI Homepage.

3. Click S1 MIDI Server link.

4. Download S1 MIDI Wifi Server

5. Run S1 MIDI Wifi Server

6. Click 'Open'

7. Confirm the application running.

If you setup the firewall, please add following settings.

8. Open Security menu on System Preference

9. Click Advanced...

10. Click '+' button

11. Choose S1 MIDI Wifi Server

12. Check S1 MIDI Wifi Server was added.

13. Run S1 MIDI Trigger and check connection indicator is 'Connected'

 

(This icon indicate 'Not connected')

14. Check indicator blinked on S1 MIDI Wifi Server

14. Tap some control on S1 MIDI Trigger then the MIDI Received indicator is blinked

If these indicator nothing to blink maybe you should setup wifi router NAT setting.

Please see manual of router and open TCP port 9000 to 9029.

[Helpful]   If you still are not getting midi to the server after setting all this up, power down the iPad, then turn it back on. It should work then.

More testing - Was able to connect momentarily to GarageBand and play notes but only after repeatedly starting and quitting S1 Midi Wifi Server, opening Audio Midi Setup to connect to Network Session 1 and my iPad, clicking ALLOW on the firewall dialog - which repeatedly comes back up after clicking ALLOW. Then S1MWS crashes again, have to go through same sequence. 

Have downloaded Server multiple times to make sure it's not a download corruption issue, restarted S1MT on iPad multiple times, etc. 

Will NOT connect to Logic 8 or Logic 9 - there is no controller profile provided for it - Logic 9 has controller profiles for TouchOSC iPad, though!

This application is just plain buggy and unreliable. Would LOVE it to work, though, because the interface design is the best out there. 

Maybe an update?...

I'll just purchase OSCTOUCH for iPad. Don't have to configure router, firewall, etc. with it and it works with Logic right out of the gate. 

PS: After turning on the Network S1 Midi Wifi on Midi Trigger, application kept freezing. Had to delete and pay for Midi Trigger AGAIN to redownload it, to get it to work. After reconfiguring router, etc. finally got it to communicate with the server app. BUT no Logic communication. And NO Help info on how to connect with Logic!  Too bad, I liked the interface of S1 MIDI TRIGGER better than Touch OSC.

Midi Wifi Server will not work on my PowerMac G5. Downloaded app, allowed application in firewall settings, but when dialog window for "Do you want the Application "S1MIDIWIFISERVER.APP" to accept incoming network connections?" comes up and I click ALLOW, the window comes back repeatedly forever until I quit the Application.

HOW DO I FIX THIS?  thanks.
